Um... I was wondering if somepony could help me... I've been here for quite a while, but I don't think I'm doing my job right... so... if you don't mind... maybe... somepony could teach me how to breed?

[For those of you who want Action, she is sitting on a bench, calmly brushing her sheep's wool... and every couple of seconds, gets visibly shocked by it. More like a static shock, but it does make her jerk around. Yet she continues right on brushing. ]

Oh! So like a tiny Blitzle?

I guess so... except I'm a Pegasus Pony, so I had wings.

Back home, there are three different types of ponies, usually... Unicorn Ponies, Earth ponies, and Pegasus Ponies.

Oooh. And what makes them all different?

[Thank god someone told her Marble looked like a horse/pony/zebra. She'd be even more lost]

Well, like I said before, Pegasus ponies have wings... Unicorns have horns and do magic... and Earth ponies are physically really strong.

Ooooh. Cool! Do all Pegasuses talk to animals?

I think I'm the only one... but then,I don't know all of them...

So that just makes you more awesome, huh?

[Blush! She shyly tries to hide behind her hair.]

All I know about breeding is that the Pokemon lay eggs. [ She looks troubled by this. ]

None of mine have ever laid eggs...

Hm.... Did you get a breeders book or something when you first arrived? Because I've got a trainer's guide.

Yes, but it's a bit confusing... maybe I'm just not smart enough.

I don't think that's it! Maybe you just need a person to explain it to you. Books are hard to understand sometimes.

Maybe... But I feel bad about bothering people...

[She shyly ducks her head.]

Just ask one of your friends! I bet they won't mind. Or I can ask Miyuki-chan. She knows a lot about Pokemon.

Maybe... but I've been here for so long, I feel bad for not already knowing...

I kinda thought that sort of thing would happen naturally.

[Twilight and Starswirl are standing off to the right, close enough to have heard Shy's question... mostly because Twi knows how to listen for Fluttershy's voice.]

I mean, it's one of the few things we don't have to help the animals back home with... right? [Sudden horrifying thought.] Y-you don't actually have to help with that sort of thing with your animal friends, do you?

[She blushes, and shakes her head hard!]

Oh no, of course not! That... that kind of thing happens on its own! Especially away from my cottage... But it seems like breeders are supposed to make it happen... somehow.

[She breathes a sigh of relief.] Thank goodness.

[Bad enough that, if what her books say about animals in season is true, Fluttershy's probably walked in on some awkward moments... or maybe her particular group of animals is polite enough to take things away from the cottage. Twilight fervently hopes so and opts not to discuss the matter further.]

Um, well... I suppose the best way to start would be to let two Pokemon of the opposite gender out at the same time, and see if they like each other.

But they all get along like one big, happy family.

[Cream bleeeeats. Big and happy, baaaaaah.]

Not that kind of like, Fluttershy. I mean... see if they show interest. Though I'm not sure how you tell that with Pokemon.

[She reaches out and starts petting Cream... and promptly gets zapped for her trouble.]

Yeowch!

Eep! Oh, Twilight, I'm so sorry! Cream didn't mean it!
