 [It's rare for Fluttershy to actually try to get attention, yet here she is, turning on the Pokegear as she and Twilight travel towards the next town. She swallows, then speaks... Oh, and don't mind the Murkrow that's using her pink hair as a nest.]

Um... hello... I'm sorry if I'm bothering anyone, but... I thought I'd been hearing a lot of people struggling with their Pokemon lately... And I wanted to try and help...

See, my special talent is helping animals... I can talk to them and understand them... So, I thought, maybe if anyone would like me to try... I can talk to your Pokemon, and see if I can help with any problems you might be having...

[Instantly, Fluttershy is less shy when it comes to the Pokemon.]

Excuse me, Haineko? May I have a word with you?

[conduit]

[ Vulpix chirps and sticks out her tongue. Apparently, the answer is "make it quick!". She's a very busy Vulpix and has a lot of things to vandalize, you know! ]

I'm sorry to bother you, but I was hoping I could talk about your fires... which are very big and impressive, I've heard.

[conduit]

[ Vulpix nods her head yes enthusiastically to the idea and starts to take a deep breath in. Better talk fast, Fluttershy, or else you're going to get an explosive demonstration! ]

[Uh oh - she speaks very quickly - ]

Buuut I would really like to talk to you about them first if you don't mind!

[conduit]

[ Vulpix quickly scales it back but it's a little too late. A giant puff of smoke quickly emits from his ears, nose, and mouth. A tiny flame appears and pretty much lays waste to a barbecue grill. A brief shriek from Rangiku can be heard from inside and, there'd be more detail in this comment, but, one person cannot type that many obscenities and remain sane.

Oops. This is the problem Fluttershy. You're witnessing it. ]

[Oh my Celestia! She winces, and then apologies profusely.]

I-I'm so sorry! I encouraged her, but then it got out of control!

[conduit]

[ Rangiku's voice calls out from the safety of her probably deteriorating house. ]

It's okay! It'd happen even if you didn't encourage her! Just, I need some improvements! [ She can't keep on living like this! Or else everything else will have to get significantly less flammable. Haineko, the Vulpix, just smugly nods at some sort of satisfaction that it can light that much on fire with just a wisp! ]

[She sighs, but tries again.]

Miss Haineko... Your fire is very nice, but... have you ever heard the saying, "too much of a good thing is a bad thing?" If you use your fire too much, it'll lose it's rare beauty, and then no one will appreciate it anymore.

[conduit]

[ Haineko pauses for a second and looks at the feed. It starts to chirp cries of disbelief. She doesn't want anyone to stop appreciating the beauty! All she wants is for it to be complimented and respected. She figures if it wrecks her owner's life, it'll become feared and respected. She'd love for everyone to appreciate it vividly! ]

But that's not the same at all... Fear and respect aren't the same thing. If others fear you, they'll want to stay away from you, and not want to look at you or your fire.

[conduit]

[ The Vulpix frowns and bleats out in confusion. She doesn't want people to fear it, she just wants people to respect it and have fun while doing so! It looks utterly confused and partially hurt that this is a possibility.

You're doing Fluttershy! Rangiku will be so proud of you later! ]

I know you're not doing it on purpose, you're a good girl. But you have a very powerful ability... you need to be careful and take responsibility. You have to earn respect.

[conduit]

[ It barks in confusion. How does it earn respect? Does it really just have to be careful and responsible? Can't it also have fun with pranking too?! ]

You can have fun, but it's no fun for anyone if others get hurt. Isn't the best kind of fun when everyone is together and happy?

[conduit]

[ She stares at her silently before replying with a flat "no". It's always amusing when other people get injured! That's just how the world of amusing injuries work!

well, at least she's honest. ]
