[The Pokegear turns on, and hurray, it's Fluttershy! She's waving nicely as she holds the gear, Ditto snuggled up in her lap. She's sitting on her bed, surrounded by... a lot of eggs.

Seriously, a lot of eggs.

Like over one hundred eggs. Sweet Celestia.]

Hello, everypony... I mean, everyone... Um, well, I thought I'd try to be a little more helpful today... so I'm here for two things. First, my Ditto... um... it kind of got really friendly with my friend's Pokemon, and, well... we have some eggs we'd like to sell. We've got... [She pauses, and then counts on her fingers. Can a Ditto look smug?] ...Charmander, Chikorita, Squirtle, Ponyta, Vulpix, Dratini, Abra, Heracross, Magnemite, Munchlax, Sigilyph, Snivy, Larvesta, Golett, Growlithe, Drifloom, Turtwig, Eevee, Sudowoodo, Pinsir, Skarmory, Beldum, Smeargle, Togepi, Happiny and Treecko... is that all of them?

[Ditto nods. Fluttershy smiles, and then she continues.]

And second... I just wanted to remind everyp-body, that I can talk to Pokemon, and I understand what they're saying. So if you need me to talk with them about anything, I'm always available to listen.

Your, uh, Ditto did all of that? [He can't help but wonder about the intelligence of a Ditto. Only intelligent enough to be concerned by basic needs like food, water, and sex, or intelligent enough to have higher thought and more complex emotion, similar to a human? If the latter, Reid has to wonder why someone would really want to make so many eggs with so many different people. Maybe it's just different for particularly intelligent animals, but his animals have been curiously chaste the whole time he's had them...]

...Are congratulations in order?

[Don't think too much of it, Reid. The Ditto is smirking like a smartass. Fluttershy nervously smiles.]

I guess so... We've never had this many eggs before... But I'm sure we'll get them all to good homes... And we need the money, too... My friends want to travel and train.

[Think about who you're saying that too.]

Well, uh... yeah, as far as I know, breeding is fairly lucrative. And if you can't sell them all, I'm sure the adoption center or local children would love them.

[she smiles.]

That would be so great... the only thing I love more than animals are foals... I mean, children.

I guessed you would. You seem like the type to be good with kids. Did you used to babysit or something?

[But speaking of...] And, uh, do you think you could help me? I, uh, sort of recently hatched a lot of new animals, and none of them seem to like behaving themselves...

Kind of...

[Oh but!!! The prospect of new babies to fawn over? Count her in!]

[There's a skittering sound and--] Penelope! Put that down!

[Reid ducks away from the camera, coming back on with a wiggling pink Happiny in his hands. And said Happiny has a whole pin cushion covered with multicolored pins and needles, and she's pouting as Reid tries to take the cushion away.] Nooooo! It's mine! It was just on the table!

[Oh dear. She'll need do distract this one quick before she hurts herself. She looks at Smooze the ditto - he nods, knowing what to do.]

Penelope! Look here, because you won't see it anywhere else!

[And thus Smooze begins to transform in a Happiny!]

[Penelope looks up curiously, then stares with wide eyes as the Ditto transforms. wat. wat. WAT.] Daddy! What's it doing?! It looks like me!

[Reid extracts the pin cushion, putting it to the side.] She keeps on stealing things.

[Phew, she's out of harm's way. She clears her throat.]

Penelope, this is my friend Smooze. Smooze and I want to show you why you need to listen to... Daddy. This is what would have happened to you if you kept playing with that pin cushion.

[Smooze pretends to prick its stubble-hand, and begin crying, rolling back and forth on fluttershy's lap.]

[Wait, Fluttershy, what did you call him??

Oblivious to her trainer, Penelope pouts.] But it's miiiiine. And he takes away all the other things that are mine.

[One problem at a time, Reid.]

And how do you know they are yours? Does Daddy give them to you? Does Daddy say they are yours?

[Okay, okay, at some point he really needs to make it clear that calling him 'Daddy' is not actually a thing that should be happening.]

Daddy doesn't need to do anything! They're mine because I say they're mine!

Because you say so? What if a bad person came along and took you away, because they said so?

[She lifts up Ditto-Happiny as an example, who again cries.]

That's not a good reason for anybody to do anything... because it always turns out bad.
