Twenty-Sixth Flutter [Video]

 [It's rare for Fluttershy to actually try to get attention, yet here she is, turning on the Pokegear as she and Twilight travel towards the next town. She swallows, then speaks... Oh, and don't mind the Murkrow that's using her pink hair as a nest.]

Um... hello... I'm sorry if I'm bothering anyone, but... I thought I'd been hearing a lot of people struggling with their Pokemon lately... And I wanted to try and help...

See, my special talent is helping animals... I can talk to them and understand them... So, I thought, maybe if anyone would like me to try... I can talk to your Pokemon, and see if I can help with any problems you might be having...

Okay... Okay? Um... h-have a nice day, everyone.

I'll go ahead and grab him, then. He's probably more reasonable than Terror, but he's got some pretty huge anger issues.

[And aggression on top of that.]

[She takes a deep breath, and then holds up her fists.]

I-I'm ready!

[Just give him a few moments and then-- oh! Is that an angry snarl offscreen?]

I said, c'mon.

[And now there's what appears to be a gigantic Charizard marching by-- and a Lucario. What even.

And there's another angry roar and a close up of some particularly sharp teeth before the camera his the ground. A Scizor leans down, scoops it up, and points it at the culprit- a very ticked off looking Garchomp, who lets out another roar...

But then he goes ahead, storms up to the 'Gear and glares.]

What?

[dragons terrify her. But this is not a 'dragon' dragon. So...

She puts one hand on her hip.]

I hear you have an attitude problem, young man! Now, calm your growls, so we can talk!

Pfft. Why should I listen to a pipsqueak like you?

[He leans in close, and his nostrils flare.]

Because right now, you're being nothing more than a bully! Is that how you were raised? To pick on anything and anyone smaller than you? You'll never get any respect that way!

Ha. Like I haven't heard that before!

Maybe I am a bully. Who cares? If wimps like you can't take it, that's your problem.

[He laughs... at least, it kinda sounds like a laugh combined with a horrible, throaty growl.]

[But she's not intimidated, or backing down.]

Then what's your problem? What is this constant need to be the strongest? We want to know why. If you become the strongest... then what's left?

[He blinks, grunts, and hesitates for a moment...

And then he bares his teeth, nose wrinkled and eyes narrowed.]

Then I'll be on top, and everybody will know who's boss!

[Ah, we're getting somewhere. She calms a little.]

And then what? What happens when you're "boss"? What comes next?

[He rears back and snaps his jaw open and shut. Guh! He hates this kinda logic. Stupid, stupid wimps.]

Who cares about what's next!? I'll just... keep beating Pokémon down. Make 'em scream!

But you'll run out of enemies eventually. Then... you'll turn on those who love and care about you. Then you won't have anyone. What's going to happen when you're all alone?

[And this would be pity.]

[And, at that, he bursts into a fit of laughter. Whether or not it's nervous or not is hard to say, since it's coming from a dragon to begin with.]

HAH! You say that like I even need anybody. I don't care about friendship and love. That stuff's for wimps.

[Heh, heh... hehheh.... heh.]

There's no shortage of wild Pokémon, anyway. I could just scoop up some Pidgeys and CHOMP 'em!

I wouldn't say you don't need anybody... You need trainers to fight Gyms. They don't let Pokemon on their own fight other trainers. And even with your attitude, no one would want to fight you. That's another reason why you'd be alone... No one to brag to, no one to prove anything to, no one to fight... If this continues, you'll be alone...

[Gah! More of that stupid wimp-logic! When will it end?!

There has to be some way he can beat her at this... logic thing. Graaaaaaarrrrgh!]

Hah! We already trounced all those stupid gyms. Now we're setting up our own place to battle.

And... my attitude's just fine! Better than being that stupid, wimpy, soft BAHAMUT.

... May I ask what a bahamut is?

My trainer sure hopes so. It's his Training Center in the first place!

And Bahamut's the worst excuse for a Garchomp ever. He's nice and happy and OBNOXIOUS!

[Oh-ho, you let something important go out.]

[...Darn it, darn it, darn it! He starts thrashing a little. Somebody isn't liking where this is going.]

HAPPY, SMILEY POKéMON ARE WEAK!

I'm not weak. I'm tough! My trainer's stupid for trying to 'change' me! To make me like all the other half-baked, friendly losers out there...

But I'll show him! I'll show them all!

[Ooh, there's even smoke spewing from his nostrils. Somebody's running out of excuses here.]

[She waits a few minutes, hoping time will calm him.]

Are happy Pokemon truly weak...? I thought battling and being strong would make you happy... But then, if that's not the reason to do it... I don't really understand... Why would you want to live without happiness?

[She feels so bad for him, tears are starting to form.]

You poor thing...

I don't need your pity!

[Grrrrowl.]

All I need is to win. Next time I see that loser... he's going to PAY!

And if my trainer tries to stop me again, I'll snap him in two!

[But, oh, there might be some jealousy here. Could it be that he lost to one of those 'weak' Pokémon?]

[She sniffles, rubbing her eyes. Murkrow grumbles, not liking to see her trainer this way.]

But you're not happy... And you might not find happiness in beating him... Happiness isn't weakness... When you fight for something that makes you happy... You become stronger, and want to fight for it more...

No, no, no, no, no, no, NO!

[He lets out a loud, bellowing roar, and the 'Gear clatters to the ground. At this point, Riku appears in the background, watching his Garchomp cautiously.]

Quake, cool it!

[Nope, not gonna happen. Instead, Quake turns around and crouches, as if he's going to attack.]

[She gasps! What has she done?]

No! Please, no, don't!

[Then, fear escalates-]

Don't you dare! If you attack him now... I... I... I'll tell everyone you're the weakest Pokemon ever!

[Quake growls, and his eyes widen for a split second. This wimp wants to ruin his reputation?

But if he backs down, then he'll be weak anyway! And his Trainer should know who's boss.

He paces back and forth between the two... Riku takes a defensive stance, pulling out his wooden Keyblade, and then...

BaoOoOoOOoOOo!

There's a roar off screen from a Dragonite, and ice shoots down at Quake's back. The Dragonite then swoops down in front of Riku and beats his fists against his chest.]
