 [It's rare for Fluttershy to actually try to get attention, yet here she is, turning on the Pokegear as she and Twilight travel towards the next town. She swallows, then speaks... Oh, and don't mind the Murkrow that's using her pink hair as a nest.]

Um... hello... I'm sorry if I'm bothering anyone, but... I thought I'd been hearing a lot of people struggling with their Pokemon lately... And I wanted to try and help...

See, my special talent is helping animals... I can talk to them and understand them... So, I thought, maybe if anyone would like me to try... I can talk to your Pokemon, and see if I can help with any problems you might be having...

Pokemon can sense these things even if you don't say them. She thinks you could use some love, affection, a friend... That's why she suddenly hugs you without your permission. So maybe you can come up with a signal that lets her know when it's okay to hug you.

[[But Page isn't looking at the camera or her Pokemon; rather, she's glaring at the ground with a somewhat pained look on her face as she digs her fingers into her arm.]]

But if it's going to make things easier, I suppose we can work something out. Especially if it means I can walk along without fearing abduction.

[She smiles very sweetly, glad she could help.]

How about anytime you want a hug, you open your arms in front of your Pokemon, and that will let her know she can go in? That way, it only happens when you want it.

[[The Kangaskhan doesn't answer, instead choosing to clap her paws excitedly and lunge forward for another hug, halting as soon as she sees Page putting up one finger and raising an eyebrow. Ah. Right. No signal.]]

It will take some getting used to, but I suppose I can manage.....

[[She looks forlorn for a bit, shuffling her feet and looking at the ground. Rolling her eyes, Page (with a look that says 'I'm going to regret this....') opens her arms.

The resulting hug is enthusiastic, as usual, but....a bit less likely to result in any cracked ribs.]]

Hm. Maybe you do have a talent for this sort of thing.
