 [It's very rare for Fluttershy to ever make a post on the gear, so it must be important. Her eyes are a little red, maybe from crying, or maybe she's just frustrated. Her Murkrow sits on her shoulder, gently nudging her, trying to encourage her. after a moment, Fluttershy nods, and speaks.]

H-Hello, everypony... I mean, everyone. I just wanted to say something...

A lot of us can't understand Pokemon. But Pokemon can understand us. They can tell when we're angry, or sad, or happy, or frightened... And in time, they understand our language too. After all, a Pokemon wouldn't be able to battle if they didn't know what we were saying.

That said... that means they can also understand insults, and rudeness. So please think carefully before you talk to or around your Pokemon... especially when naming them...

-about just how much Pokemon can comprehend our language, our words...I know now that they're very sensitive to our emotions.

I try my best. And not everypony knows just how much Pokemon can understand us... So I thought I'd lend myself out to those who need help.

How did you learn to talk to Pokemon, anyway? I can't understand any of the gibberish they spout at me.

Well... it's a talent that came with me. I can talk to animals back in my home world too.

....what sorts of things do they tend to say to you? The Pokemon, I mean.

[[While she's speaking, a Gligar will happily climb up Page's arm.]]

Well, it's all different... just like people can have different conversations.

[She smiles a little to see the gligar, and waves to it.]

[[The Gligar will give a rather sassy wave back! Fortunately, she's less inclined to start hugging her trainer at the slightest provocation.]]

...I'm just...bothered, I suppose, by the fact that I can talk to them, but they have no way of talking to me outside of yes or no answers. I feel like I misunderstand them a lot of the time.

That must be frustrating... but I bet they can tell you're trying your hardest, and that you really do care. Effort means a lot, and I can see that even though you're worried, Gligar likes you a lot.

Do you find that most people here treat their Pokemon well? I'd hope that was the case.

More often than not, I see kind people treating their Pokemon with love.

So those who treat them badly are the outliers, then? I'm really glad to hear that.
