[It's very rare for Fluttershy to ever make a post on the gear, so it must be important. Her eyes are a little red, maybe from crying, or maybe she's just frustrated. Her Murkrow sits on her shoulder, gently nudging her, trying to encourage her. after a moment, Fluttershy nods, and speaks.]
H-Hello, everypony... I mean, everyone. I just wanted to say something...
A lot of us can't understand Pokemon. But Pokemon can understand us. They can tell when we're angry, or sad, or happy, or frightened... And in time, they understand our language too. After all, a Pokemon wouldn't be able to battle if they didn't know what we were saying.
That said... that means they can also understand insults, and rudeness. So please think carefully before you talk to or around your Pokemon... especially when naming them...
... That's all.

Date: 2012-10-11 09:41 pm (UTC)I didn't really ask too much about the battling... It was a little scary. But one trainer talked about his ancient Pokemon called Aerodactyl. Because it's from so long ago, its mind isn't developed and evolved like the Pokemon in the present, so it has a harder time understanding human speech.
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-11 11:05 pm (UTC)Oh, that would be a problem... I wonder if you could communicate with it, but on the other hand, the only Aerodactyl I know of isn't exactly the type of Pokemon anyone would want to talk to. I wonder if that's true of all ancient Pokemon.
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-11 11:14 pm (UTC)I don't know, but his trainer has a really tough time with it. But it kind of makes me want to learn even more about it too. It's almost like when Princess Luna came back... She was stuck with ways of the past and had to adjust to the present.
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-12 04:01 am (UTC)That's not exactly the same thing... I mean, Princess Luna was having trouble, yes, but she at least wanted to adjust. From what I understand, Riku's Aerodactyl has absolutely no interest in changing her ways.
... Assuming that's the one you're talking about, too. [Then again, maybe all ancient Pokemon are like that. Frightening thought...]
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-12 12:38 pm (UTC)You're so smart, Twilight, that's exactly who I was talking about.
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-13 01:27 am (UTC)[Twilight's about to ask how she's feeling, noting how tired she looks, but she feels Starswirl's eyes on the back of her head and turns around.]
What's up, Star- Oh for Celestia's sake, what are you three doing?
[Megasoma, currently trying to see just how high he can lift the tent poles, turns to Twilight with a suddenly guilty expression. Sapphire, meanwhile, makes one final enormous yawn... and flops over backwards, releasing her poles.
The tent collapses on Megasoma, and Starswirl and Twilight both facepalm.]
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-13 02:08 am (UTC)... Oh, dear. Maybe we should help out a little.
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-13 05:09 am (UTC)[She walks over and grabs the poles Megasoma had been holding earlier, pulling the tent up and lifting the open flap so he can crawl out. Which he does, looking a little sheepish, before quickly scuttling over to the other side and grabbing the poles Sapphire was holding earlier, determined to prove he's competent.]
Oh, now you're taking this seriously. You know, our trainers are counting on you dolts to make sure they have a place to sleep tonight.
[Starswirl's tone isn't far off from a father-figure scolding the kids.]
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-13 12:07 pm (UTC)[She quietly comes over to help, brushing the dirt off the tent and then trying to tie up the ropes. Scoots grumbles, trying to pick up a pole too along with some attitude.]
Last time I checked, you weren't my trainer...]
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-15 07:19 am (UTC)[Starswirl gives her a withering glare as Twilight fiddles with her side, finally raising the tent into more or less the shape it's supposed to be in, but Megasoma speaks up before he can say anything.]
Ease up, Star. We'll get it done. You don't seriously think we'd let them sleep out in the cold, do ya?
[Starswirl snorts.]
If you keep getting distracted by-
[He cuts off mid-sentence, eyes widening, and turns his head to the left sharply, letting out a psychic call to the other Pokemon and both trainers.]
Wild Pokemon approach!
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-15 12:46 pm (UTC)Instead of celebrating Princess Luna, it celebrates everything scary... It's absolutely the worst thing I ever-
[And then Star's call goes out. Instantly, Fluttershy cheers up because POKEMON POKEMON POKEMON]
A wild Pokemon?! Which one is it?
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-15 11:27 pm (UTC)That's a rare find. But with the Snivy I just got from Riku, it'd be kind of pointless for me to catch another grass-type so soon... Fluttershy, do you want it? Or should we let it go?
[Megasoma looks disappointed. A grass-type wouldn't prove much of a challenge for him. But it does give him an idea...]
Hey, Scoots, this sounds like your big chance. A grass-type against you? It's perfect!
[As the others discuss the situation, though, Sapphire rolls over in her sleep and starts to pick herself up... her eyes are still closed despite that. Is she sleepwalking?
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-15 11:52 pm (UTC)[Scoots gets the message at once, and, wanting to impress the big boy, she suddenly flies toward the noise, wings flapping.]
This is all mine!]
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-16 01:05 am (UTC)[Scoots is headed straight for a Treeko, which leaps down at her from one of the trees above, narrowly missing her with a swipe of its hand. The little grass gecko lands on its feet, turning its head to follow Scoots's path with its eyes, ready to swipe again as soon as it gets the chance. It's ready for anything...
Except the shadow that just fell over it.]
Sapphire? Wait, what are you doing? [Twilight's eyes widen as she watches her sleepwalking Munchlax waddle over to the Treeko, clearly unsteady on her feet.] No... Sapphire, don't! Wake-
[But it's too late. Sapphire, practically on top of the hapless grass type, trips over a root and goes falling forward. The Treeko has just enough time for its eyes to widen in terror before the Munchlax's huge bulk crashes down onto it. Twilight and both of her other Pokemon simply stand there, staring slackjawed.]
- up...
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-16 01:08 am (UTC)...
[Had this been any other time, Scoots would have been laughing hysterically. As it is, Flutters shrieks.]
Nooo! Get up, get up!
[She runs over, trying to lift Sapphire up and... having absolutely no success. Scoots flies over, trying to lift Sapphire up from the other end. Still getting nothing.]
You stupid fat tub of lard! You ruined my big chance!]
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-16 01:25 am (UTC)Still, it's not like Sapphire is even really noticing. She just lies there, slowly crushing the hapless Treeko beneath her, who's flailing squeaks are getting steadily weaker...
Until she suddenly begins glowing white.]
What... oh no. No, no, no this is not the time, Sapphire get up before you-
[Once again Twilight is interrupted as Sapphire's huge bulk begins to spread out, pushing Scoots and Fluttershy aside and no doubt causing even more anguish to the poor Treeko beneath her. Rapidly, she grows and grows... until where the comparatively small Munchlax was, an utterly enormous Snorlax now lies.]
... Evolve.
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-16 01:33 am (UTC)Scoots, on the other hand, resigns, and heads over to her trainer.]
If anybody needs me, I'll be in my Pokeball. Have fun with super-lard.
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-16 01:42 am (UTC)Until Starswirl's voice cuts through the haze of horror in Twilight's mind.]
Recall her! Where's her Pokeball?
[Twilight jumps in the air upon hearing that, and immediately realizes that hey, her Pokemon has a pretty great idea. Grabbing Sapphire's ball (which, thankfully, was right where she'd left it), she holds it up.]
Sapphire, return! [The beam of light pulls the still-unconscious Snorlax back into her ball, leaving only a very, very unconscious and not too healthy looking Treeko lying in the indent Sapphire's body made on the grass. Twilight stares at the poor Pokemon in abject horror.]
Is... is it going to be okay? It can't be...
[She can't say it. She can't ask if it's dead. It's not, of course, the rules of the world forbid it, but given what it just went through, her concern is probably justified.]
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-16 01:50 am (UTC)And I do mean everything. Revives, Potions, Berries, even Antidotes, everything and anything in a desperate attempt to aide the flattened grassy one.]
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-16 02:22 am (UTC)After a few moments and several attempted remedies, the poor creature finally wheezes and begins to cough, coming around. Twilight immediately drops down next to Fluttershy and leans in to inspect it.]
Oh thank Celestia, it looks like its waking up!
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-16 12:03 pm (UTC)You poor thing! It's okay, it'll all be okay now...
[Action]
Date: 2012-10-16 08:32 pm (UTC)Twilight, meanwhile, is finally slipping out of panic mode and into thoughtful mode. She gives the Treeko a quick once over, checking for obvious injuries that the horde of items Fluttershy used didn't take care of.]
Hmmmm... it looks like it's healing up pretty well. Then again, with how many revives and potions you used I think you would have cured anything. [She frowns, considering that.] I hope there aren't side effects from using to many of those in rapid succession...
